Created during a session with a young person, this picture captures me beautifully, check out the likeness with the image below.

My approach is strengths-based, inclusive, practical and fun. I am committed to working with people to achieve the changes they want, in a collaborative and non-judgemental space. I bring therapeutic knowledge from advanced training and experience in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

I have experience working as a clinician and supervisor, in both Adelaide and Hobart, across various settings including universities, not-for-profit, and private sectors.

Having spent many years working in youth mental health, I have specialist experience working with teenagers, young people and the people in their life that are important to them.

I enjoy working with neurodivergent, queer and gender-diverse people and consider our world a richer place for the diversity within it, whilst acknowledging the unique challenges faced by those within these communities.

Hi, my name is Kellie Bryan, a mental health social worker. Since completing University I have worked with young people, with issues varying from alcohol and drug use, to mental health issues. This work has lead me to work with some amazing people and see some courageous transformations.

I have a strong sense of fairness and want young people to experience positive connection and relationships, which is why I consider a family inclusive practice integral to the work that I do. This, of course, looks different with every person I work with but, if we can bring family and carers along for the ride, then everyone is better off for it.

I bring a lightness to our sessions through humour and creativity. I’m not opposed to playing Jenga, Uno, or colouring in during sessions. Walk and talk therapy is often on my agenda. If you want to share with me pictures of your pets, I’m in. I am also happy to be exposed to music that is important to you, I might even learn a thing or two.

I know that seeking counselling can be stressful. Sessions can be adapted to what works for you, just let me know!
